An opening with no photograph: in law, words come before the image
Most law firm sites open with a scales-of-justice icon and a stock handshake photo. The trust a client is looking for doesn't come from those — it comes from speaking plainly.

Why it looks this way
This is a concept build — not real client work. What follows are the decisions I'd defend while working with a real business in this industry.
No photograph in the hero
The opening carries a single sentence: "You shouldn't have to call and ask how your case is going." Paper-toned ground, generous whitespace, one bronze rule. It's the riskiest decision on the page — and the one that best carries the seriousness a firm needs to project.
Numbering only where there's a real sequence
Practice areas are indexed with small roman numerals because they're a catalogue; the case process is numbered 01–04 because it's genuinely sequential. Numbers are used where they carry information, not as decoration.
Every step states its duration
Each of the process's four steps states how long it takes. What wears a client down most isn't the case itself — it's not knowing what's happening. The site answers that upfront.
The articles section is the SEO engine
Legal searches are phrased as questions: "what should I do if I was fired." Long-form articles that actually answer the question are the only way to show up for searches like this without paying for ads — so that infrastructure gets built on day one.
